Functionality. Usability. Simplicity. Consistency. Pleasure.
User experience is a key factor for successful digital products. A series of principles must be followed so that the product’s original goals are fulfilled with respect to the final user’s needs. Functionality, simplicity, usability are some of the aspects our designers consider when designing something new.
In order to create a unique and functional design we follow a few steps before we start developing.
Wireframes
At this stage, our interest lies on the interaction design and the information architecture. By making these drafts we get a clear view of what information the interface will contain and how the user will interact with that information. We also define the navigation and sitemap structures and find ways to increase conversion by adding the right Call to Action elements to the right place.
Style tiles
We create a series of possible styling guides, using style tiles, a technique that gives us a fast way of deciding the product’s look. Typefaces, colors, lines and interactive elements such as buttons and forms get visualized at this point.
Mockups
Having already decided our design guidelines, this is where the fun part begins, with proposals applying those guidelines and creating a more realistic representation of what is to be developed. We design following a technique called Mobile First when choosing responsive web design, which ensures a perfect interface for all screen sizes, from the smallest mobile screen to a large smart TV.
Iconography
Icons are an important mean of visual communication, because they contain symbols that are memorable and comprehensible by the majority of cultures. Users tend to interact easier with interfaces that contain icons. We have a strong background in iconography and making an icon theme consistent and pixel perfect from the largest to the smallest canvas, usually 16x16px, is our specialty.
